Halfpenny Conder Token. The famous 'Tom Tackle' token. It shows Tom as a sailor serving his country and on the other side his fate when battle strikes off his leg and his country forgets him. This sort of biting social commentary is pretty common in Conder tokens. This token is usually porous and heavily worn and unfortunately this example is as well.
