Description:
2 Zlote Y#817 8.1500 g., Brass, 27 mm. Subject: STEFAN BANACH Obv: Image of the Eagle established as the State Emblem of the Republic of Poland, at the sides of the Eagle the notation of the year of issue, 20-12, underneath the Eagle, an inscription, ZŁ 2 ZŁ, in the rim an inscription: RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA, preceded and followed by six pearls. The Mint’s mark under the Eagle’s left leg: M/W Rev: In the centre, a stylised bust of Stefan Banach. On the left, a graph of linear operator. Below, an inequality characterising a condition concerning linear operators in Banach spaces. Underneath, an inscription: STEFAN/BANACH. At the bottom, an inscription: 1892-1945.
