Description:
2 Zlote Y#764 8.1500 g., Brass, 27 mm. Subject: Polish Painters of the Turn of 19th & 20th Centuries Obv: An image of the Eagle established as the State Emblem of the Republic of Poland. On the left side, a palette and two paintbrushes. At the bottom, an inscription, 2 ZŁ, at the top, a semicircular inscription, RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA (Republic of Poland) and a notation of the year of issue, 2011. The Mint’s mark under the Eagle’s left leg, M/W Rev: Stylised image of a bust of zofia Stryjeńska against the background of stylised fragment of a painting. Along the left rim, inscription: ZOFIA STRYJEŃSKA. At the bottom, inscription: 1891–1976. Edge: : An inscription, NBP, eight times repeated, every second one inverted by 180 degrees, separated by stars. Obv. designer: Ewa Tyc-Karpińska Rev. designer: Urszula Walerzak
