Latin HAMBURG 1838. This medal by Christensen (1806-1844) recalls the British Royal Mint experience with Pistrucci's Waterpp Medal of similarly baffing complecty. It took so long to complete the dies that the medal was omly completed and strunk by 1844, just before the sculptor's death.
