Description:
2 Zlote Y#605 8.1500 g., Brass, 27 mm. Subject: XXth Olympic Winter Games: Turin 2006. Obv: Image of the Eagle established as the State Emblem of the Republic of Poland, at the sides of the Eagle the notation of the year of issue, 20-06, underneath the Eagle, an inscription, ZŁ 2 ZŁ, in the rim an inscription: RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA, preceded and followed by six pearls. The Mint’s mark under the Eagle’s left leg: M/W Rev: In the central part, stylized images of a running and shooting biathlonists. On the left-hand side, at the bottom, a semicircular inscription, XX ZIMOWE IGRZYSKA OLIMPIJSKIE (20th WINTER / OLYMPIC / GAMES). On the right-hand side, a vertical inscription, TURYN/2006. Above, a stylized image of a fragment of a shooting target. Edge: An inscription, NBP, eight times repeated, every second one inverted by 180 degrees, separated by stars.
