Description:
1 Stiver, Essequebo & Demarary. One definition of an English penny during this period was a coin that contained one full ounce of copper. This token has a different denomination but is the same size as an English penny of the time. These colonies included present day Guyana, Surinam, French Guiana and parts of Brazil and Venezuela.
