Seated Liberty Dollar. NGC Proof 64 Cameo. The 1866 is the first year of the design to show the modified reverse with the motto added above the eagle's head. A mere 725 proofs were issued. NGC has certified only 29 cameo examples for the date. The centers are untoned and flashy while the peripheries on each side boast a dazzling toning scheme consisting of shades of gun-metal blue, russet and aqua-marine. The devices show an appreciable amount of frost and come close to UCAM.
