Description:
Scarcer type silver jeton of the Chambre de Commerce de Lyon. This example evidences serious die chatter. Looks like it has been double struck. More apparent obverse than reverse, but both sides severe. Inage obverse is the sun (usually construed to be Louis XIV aka `the sun king') shining down on planet earth. Reverse are the gods of the Rhone and Saone supporting the arms of Lyon. No date but circa 1710
