Description:
Louis VI, silver jeton for the Procureurs Du Chatalet or Attorneys of the Chatalet, imagery as with Aurora, goddess of dawn, riding her chariot in the clouds above with globe below. In ancient Roman mythology Aurora, goddess of the dawn, renews herself every morning and flies across the sky, announcing the arrival of the sun. She has 2 siblings, a brother Sol (the sun), and a sister Luna (the moon) & 4 childrens, the Anemoi/Winds. 1766, original strike, 9.5g, Silver, 31mm. Rare.
