2 Euro KM#NEW 8.5000 g., Bi-Metallic Nickel-Brass center in Copper-Nickel ring, 25.75 mm. Subject : The 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Slovak Republic Obv: The design symbolises Slovakia’s entry into the European Union and the euro area by showing a stylised portal arching over both a map of Slovakia and a euro symbol surrounded by the European Union stars, some covered by the map. The Slovak coat of arms appears on the left of the design. At the lower left side, in semi-circle is the name of the issuing country ‘SLOVENSKÁ REPUBLIKA’. The date of the country’s establishment ‘1.1.1993’ and the year of issuance ‘2018’ appear, one above the other, below the right side of the map. Between the map and the date are the mint mark of the Kremnica Mint (Mincovňa Kremnica), consisting of the initials ‘MK’ placed between two dies, and the stylised letters ‘PK’, the initials of the designer, Pavel Károly. The coin’s outer ring bears the 12 stars of the European Union. Rev: 2 on the left-hand side, six straight lines run vertically between the lower and upper right-hand side of the face, 12 stars are superimposed on these lines, one just before the two ends of each line, superimposed on the mid - and upper section of these lines; the European continent ( extended ) is represented on the right-hand side of the face; the right-hand part of the representation is superimposed on the mid-section of the lines; the word ‘EURO’ is superimposed horizontally across the middle of the right-hand side of the face. Under the ‘O’ of EURO, the initials ‘LL’ of the engraver appear near the right-hand edge of the coin. Edge: SLOVENSKA REPUBLIKA with two stars and a linden leaf in the middle, fine milled.
