| Korea Kwangmu 10, 1906 1/2 chon - modified to 1 chon At first appearence, the reverse seems to show that this coin has a denomination of 1 chon, but at the obverse, it clearly says that it's 1/2 chon! But upon further examination, this modification can be seen. There was a time when the size of 1chon and 1/2chon were roughly the same but only the difference in thickness and hence such modification (counterfeiting genuine coins). |
