| A shilling that didn't quite make it unscathed. Nice VF / EF(ish) coin with accoutrement on top. LIMA below bust signifying to the world that the silver was plundered from Spanish treasure ships returning laden from Peru. The year also signified a turbulent time in Scotland with Bonnie Prince Charlie stirring up the second Jacobite rebellion. Coin is oprobably salvageable, but in the years i've had it, i've never had the heart to sanction the surgery required. |
