| George IV Crown, Pistrucci design. NGC MS65. This design was disliked by King George IV. He asked Pistrucci to redesign it based on a bust by Chantry. Pistrucci refused to "copy another's work." The King then asked William Wyon to design the replacement crown. The result was the 1826 crown also shown in this collection. |
