| Non-existent date and mintmark combinations make it easy to spot fakes. This purports to be a 1920 London Mint sovereign, but the London branch of the Royal Mint stopped minting sovereigns after 1917, and did not restart until 1957, with the exception of coins minted from 1949 to 1951, but dated 1925! |
