Hungarian dual denominated 20 Francs 8 Forints are similar to their Austrian counterparts (20 Francs 8 Florins). These were issued between 1870 and 1891, but with official restrikes dated 1892. Their specifications were identical to French 20 francs, and other European gold coins of the period, part of a 'Uniform Coinage', an early attempt at a currency union forerunner of the Euro.
