The Turks and Caicos Islands were discovered in 1512 by Juan Ponce de Leon, and were at times controlled or disputed by the Spanish, British Bermudians, French, Bahamas, Jamaica and Federation of the West Indies. They are now a separate Crown Colony in 1962. The coin shown is a gold proof 100 crowns commemorating Lord Mountbatten. Just uploaded bigger and better photo's.
