This is an Edinburgh halfpenny / ha'penny / `Edinburgh bawbee' as it was commonly termed. a token issued during the coin shortages of the reign of George III. Reverse depicts St Andrews, patron saint of scotland. legend is the motto of Scotland. Nemo me Impune Lacesset (or lacessit)`No-one provokes me with impunity.'
