Actually this is Reunion Island but Madagascar was as close as the country box would allow. Reunion is East of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. This is an aluminum 5 Francs and in darn good condition. A lot of aluminum coinage tends to be pretty chewed up after only a short time in circualtion. This is a fine example of a nice unc aluminum coin.
