The rarest date of Victorian shield sovereign. We recently sold this coin. for a short time we owned a compete date set of Shield sovereigns, for the only time in over 40 years. Now we are looking for another one. Although the mintage is recorded as 124,050 pieces, most of these probably wore out or were melted years ago.
