The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic in Santo Domingo was created on October 9th, 1947. We believe it also incorporates the DR Mint (Casa de la Moneda), which is shown on the reverse of this silver Peso to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the 'Banco Central'.
